Croatia v Spain Match Preview

18th June 2012By: Mark Tinklin

Group C: Monday 18th June 19:45

A draw could see current top two Croatia and Spain make it through

Croatia

There have been doubts over the fitness of Croatia's first choice strike duo ahead of their final group game against Spain. However, Mario Mandzukic has recovered from the injury that forced him off against Italy and Nikica Jelavic should line up alongside him, even though the Everton striker was struck down by illness over the weekend. Luka Modric may be pushed further forward with Ivan Rakitic dropping back.

Spain

Sergio Busquets injured his foot against the Republic of Ireland, but has been pased fit to face Croatia after a scan gave the Barcelona midfielder the all clear. Up front, Fernando Torres probably secured his starting berth with a brace against the Irish, meaning Cesc Fabregas will have to settle for a place among the substitutes.
