Russia thrash Czechs to go top of Group A as Euro 2012 gets going
Midfielder Alan Dzagoev top scored with six Fantasy League points, for his two goals in Russia's 4-1 win over Czech Republic, as Euro 2012 got underway on Friday night.
Roman Pavlyuchenko came off the bench to score one and make one, for five FL points, while Andrei Arshavin scored four points for two assists.
The other Russian goal was scored by Roman Shirokov, who earned three points, while Aleksandr Kerzhakov also earned two points for an assist.
The Czech consolation was scored by Vaclav Pilar, and assisted by Jaroslav Plasil.
Earlier in the day co-hosts Poland opened the tournament with a 1-1 draw against Greece, in a game which saw one player from each side given a red card.
Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring before Dimitrios Salpingidis came off the bench to level for the Greeks, each earned three Fantasy League points for their efforts.
Sokratis Papastathopoulos was sent off for Greece just before half time, and then Polish keeper Wojciech Szczesny followed him when he brought down Salpingidis later in the half.
Both will now serve a one-match ban.
Greek captain Georgios Karagounis saw his penalty saved by substitute keeper Przemyslaw Tyton and the match ended 1-1.
