Ireland recall Doyle, Italy have Barzagli and Balotelli fit

Italy

Italy may give a run-out to defender Andrea Barzagli, who has been passed fit after overcoming the calf injury he picked up before the tournament. Mario Balotelli is also expected to retain his place, despite a knee problem. The Manchester City man was injured in training towards the end of last week, but returned on Sunday. Antonio Di Natale is on standby, should Balotelli fail to make it.

Republic of Ireland

Republic of Ireland boss Giovanni Trapattoni has already named his side for their final game of Euro 2012 against Italy. The only change from the 4-0 defeat to Spain is that Kevin Doyle will come in for Simon Cox, meaning it's the same side that opened the tournament with a 3-1 defeat to Croatia. Fulham midfielder Damien Duff will captain the side on his 100th appearance for his country.
