Spain reach third successive final

It was clean sheet points all-round as Spain knocked out Portugal on penalties

Spain will be looking to make history on Sunday night when they go for their third successive international tournament title.

They ended Portugal's run with a 4-2 penalty shoot-out victory in the first semi-final on Wednesday.

The ended 0-0 after extra-time, meaning there were plenty of defensive Fantasy League points on offer.

Spaniards Iker Casillas, Jordi Alba, Alvaro Arbeloa, Gerard Pique and Sergio Ramos all scored six points for their clean sheets.

It was Spain's fourth clean sheet of Euro 2012, and they have now kept 12 clean sheets in their last 14 World Cup and European Championship matches.

Portuguese quintet Rui Patricio, Joao Pereira, Pepe, Bruno Alves and Fabio Coentrao also scored six points apiece.

Very little happened in the game, but Spain came to life in extra time and Patricio was forced into a very good save late on, to keep his clean sheet intact.

Joao Moutinho and Bruno Alves both missed in the shoot-out, and Spain will now meet Germany or Italy in Sunday's final.
