Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka should return to link up with Didier Drogba for the big match on Sunday. Anelka was rested in the midweek fixture against Atletico Madrid but is likely to come back along with Ricardo Carvalho and Branislav Ivanovic, who were also absent midweek. Joe Cole has featured since returning from injury and could relegate Deco to the bench. Yuri Zhirkov is ruled out with knee problems and Jose Bosingwa and John Obi Mikel are unlikely to feature before the international break.

Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Rio Ferdinand will miss the trip to title rivals Chelsea on Sunday. The centre-back is still struggling with a calf injury and could be out for another two to three weeks and Ferguson has admitted they don't know where the problem has come from. Nemanja Vidic and Dimitar Berbatov have recovered from their injuries, but Gary Neville is suspended following his red card against Barnsley. The Manchester United manager also said that Owen Hargreaves is just 10 days away from returning to training.
