Cabaye collects eight points

Newcastle close in on Champions League and City close gap

Midfield marvel Yohan Cabaye was the top points scoring player at the weekend with an exceptional eight points.

The French international used all of his Gallic guile to grab two goals and an exquisite assist in Newcastle's 3-0 win over Stoke.

Papiss Cisse scored again of course, and picked up an assist, for five Fantasy League points.

Manchester United surrendered a two goal lead at home to Everton in a remarkable 4-4 draw, but attacking duo Nani and Danny Welbeck did salvage seven points apiece.

The United twosome both registered stylish goals and added a pair of assists each, while clinical Everton striker Nikica Jelavic collected six points for his heroic brace.

Giant Toffees midfielder Marouane Fellaini rifled home a brilliant volley and set up Steven Pienaar's late leveller for five fantasy football points.

Enterprising full-back Gael Clichy also scored five points as Manchester City took the initiative in the title race by beating Wolves 2-0.

The result relegated the Old Gold and means City can win the league with victories in their final three games.

Clichy released Sergio Aguero to open the scoring and collected Man City's 15th clean sheet of the season.
