Brazilian starlet becomes latest addition to growing Chelsea squad
Chelsea have secured the services of 20-year-old Brazilian international Oscar, from Internacional, for a reported £25m.
The stylish midfielder has signed a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge, and joins fellow big-money signings Marko Marin and Edin Hazard at the home of the Champions League winners.
Oscar will join up with his new team-mates after has competed with his countrymen at the Olympics.
He was part of the side that beat Team GB in a friendly match in Middlesbrough on Friday night, and has six full caps and one goal for his country.
Oscar can play in midfield, or in behind the striker and is renowned for his ability to get around the pitch with ease.
Possessing great awareness, he can often be seen tracking runners and making a tackle, has an eye for a pass and is equally comfortable running beyond the striker and getting a goal for himself.
Oscar played 36 times for Internacional, scoring 11 goals, and was previously at Sao Paulo where he came through the youth ranks.
Brazil kick off their London 2012 bid with a game against Egypt, before taking on fellow Group C opponents Belarus and New Zealand.
