Chelsea ranks boosted, Cavani stays put and Arsenal urged to do everything to keep van Persie
After speculation of a move to Real Madrid, The Guardian reports that Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic is happy to remain at Stamford Bridge.
The 28-year-old, who signed a new contract with Chelsea in February, admitted to Marca that although he was aware of Madrid's interest, he had no plans to leave the Blues.
He said: "Yes, I know that a lot has been said about my future and that Madrid are interested and tracking me.
"But now isn't the time to be talking about that.
"I'm focused on the national team at the moment and I'm really happy at Chelsea and in London."
ESPN reports that Jose Mourinho is looking to improve Madrid's defence and feels that the Serbian defender matches the bill.
Ivanovic only managed nine fantasy football points last season but has emerged as one of Chelsea's most consistent performers.
In other transfer news, the French sports daily L'Equipe reports that Chelsea's Champions League win has convinced Ligue 1 Player of the Year Eden Hazard to wear the blue shirt next season.
Manchester United and Manchester City both appear to have lost out on the 21-year-old Lille playmaker after Chelsea offered Hazard €550,000 per month as part of a five-year contract.
The young Belgian has been highly sought after following his 20 goals from 38 games last season.
However, in other news, Chelsea, Juventus and Man City have all failed to lure striker Edinson Cavani away from Napoli.
The Daily Mail reports that Cavani scored an impressive 23 goals in 35 appearances for Napoli last year, and is happy to stay at the Italian side after leading them to Coppa Italia glory.
Finally, Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has told The Sport Review that Arsenal must keep hold of striker Robin van Persie if they want any chance of becoming title contenders next year.
The Dutch forward has been linked to Barcelona, Juventus and Man City after scoring 114 fantasy football points last season and topping the Fantasy League player standings.
