Arsenal yet to open Walcott talks, Wigan reject Chelsea's Moses bid and Berbatov fancies Milan move

The Guardian reports that Arsenal are yet to open negotiations to renew Theo Walcott's contract.

The 23-year-old is entering the final year of his contract and the Gunners could find themselves in the same situation as with Robin van Persie, who looks set to leave after refusing to sign a new deal.

Walcott scored eight goals and provided 11 assists in 33 games last year for a return of 46 fantasy football points.

According to Talk Sport, Chelsea have had another bid turned down for Victor Moses.

The Nigerian international, 21, was the subject of an initial £3.5m offer from Chelsea, which Wigan chairman Dave Whelan dismissed as "rubbish".

The Blues have since raised their offer to £5m for the midfielder, who scored six goals and provided five assists in 37 league games last season, registering 28 fantasy football points.

However, Wigan have rejected the second offer and hope Moses will agree to extend his stay at the DW Stadium.

Elsewhere, Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted that the Premier League will be Manchester United's "top priority" next season, the BBC reports.

United have received a welcome boost ahead of the new season, following the news that both Chris Smalling and Nemanja Vidic should be fit for the opener against Everton.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports reports that Red Devils striker Dimitar Berbatov has revealed he is "keen" on a possible move to AC Milan.

Milan, who have just completed the sale of Thiago Silva to PSG, with Zlatan Ibrahimovicset to follow, are unlikely to be put off by the £5m price tag Berbatov is believed to command.

The out-of-favour Bulgarian proved a real conundrum last season, scoring seven times in just five games but was unable to secure a regular first team place.

Finally, Sky Sports reports that Aston Villa are looking to off-load James Collins to Sunderland.

The centre-back scored only six Fantasy League Classic points in 30 games last season and doesn’t seem to fit into the plans of Villa’s new boss, Paul Lambert.
