All eyes focussed on Anfield

The clash of the weekend sees Liverpool and Manchester United renew old rivalries, and both managers have a big decision to make ahead of kick off.

The home side are considering handing skipper Steven Gerrard, who has been sidelined since March and has been restricted to just three substitute appearances so far this season, his first start.

United boss Alex Ferguson has hinted at a possible recall for Nemanja Vidic, who returned from two months out when he played for Serbia in midweek.

Manchester City are unlikely to risk Sergio Aguero when they host Aston Villa on Saturday, as the striker has not yet fully recovered from a groin injury, but Mario Balotelli should play.

Villa hope to have Gabriel Agbonlahor fit after he was withdrawn from the 2-0 win over Wigan last time out because of an on-going back problem.

Bolton expect to have goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen fit for Saturday's trip to Wigan, after he missed the 5-1 defeat to Chelsea with a thigh problem.

Arsenal defenders Johan Djourou and Laurent Koscielny have both returned to training this week and will be available for Sunday's visit from Sunderland, but Bacary Sagna is out.

Sunderland face a reshuffle in attack due to on-loan striker Nicklas Bendtner being ineligible to face his parent club.

Tottenham have a host of injury worries going into the clash with Newcastle on Sunday afternoon with the main concern over Emmanuel Adebayor, who faces a late fitness test on a hamstring injury.
