Tottenham and Birmingham feature heavily in defence after two clean sheets

The Blues continued their impressive form while Tottenham and Manchester City, who also boast two players, make another surge for Champions League qualification.

Birmingham keeper Joe Hart and centre-back Liam Ridgewell as well as Spurs duo Vedran Corluka and Benoit Assou-Ekotto each scored six points for two clean sheets over Christmas.

They are joined in defence by Manchester City defender Kolo Toure, who also scored six points for not conceding a goal in Roberto Mancini's opening two games.

Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas was the top-scoring midfielder for his brace in a cameo appearance in the 3-0 win over Aston Villa.

The Spaniard is joined in the centre of the park by Liverpool's Yossi Benayoun, Everton's Marouane Fellaini and Blackburn's Morten Gamst-Pedersen who each scored once.

Sunderland striker Darren Bent scored three goals, for nine FL points, against Everton and Blackburn and he is joined in attack by Manchester City's Carlos Tevez, who scored three times against Stoke and Wolves.
