Arsenal

Arsenal's Russian star Andrei Arshavin has dismissed reports that he could join Barcelona after just six months at the Emirates Stadium. Cesc Fabregas also looks to be staying after Real Madrid Sporting director Miguel Pardeza admitted the Spaniard is not on their radar. Elsewhere, Arsenal target Felipe Melo is set to join Juventus in a £12m deal today.

Aston Villa

Reports continue to circle that Ashley Young is on his way out of Villa Park. The England winger is wanted by Tottenham and Manchester United and a speculated £12m bid from Villa for Stewart Downing is doing nothing to douse the rumours. Meanwhile, Villa are set to make striker Nathan Delfouneso available for loan in order to gain first-team experience and could use him as part of the deal to sign Fabian Delph after having a £6m bid rejected last week. Leeds, however, are holding out for £8m. Finally, Villa are set to move for Tottenham's Darren Bent as Sunderland seem reluctant to meet the asking price.

Birmingham

Alex McLeish seems to have his heart set on an on-loan full-back, with Arsenal's Armand Traore his first choice. Traore has fallen behind Gael Clichy and Kieran Gibbs in the pecking order at Arsenal and a loan move could be immanent. A deal for Patrick Vieira is now dead, however Birmingham officials have been rumoured to be watching Joey Barton amongst seven other midfielders.

Blackburn

Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce has conceded defeat in his bid to sign Real Madrid superstar Ruud van Nistelrooy, citing expensive wages as the main sticking point. Rovers are now going to chase Manchester City's Benjani to fill the hole left by departing striker Roque Santa Cruz.

Bolton

Bolton boss Gary Megson will continue to invest in his defence after completing the signing of left-back Paul Robinson. A centre-back is next on his wish list and Aston Villa giant Zat Knight looks like the number one target. Megson is looking for a defender to partner Gary Cahill at the back.

Burnley

The Clarets lost their first pre-season friendly at the weekend as they went down 2-1 to Bradford at Valley Parade. Graham Alexander scored Burnley's goal, while Remco van der Schaaf made a surprise appearance back at Turf Moor after a loan spell with Brondby. Elsewhere no changes in the deals for Brian Easton and Andrew Driver with the former likely to join Burnley this week, whilst Driver and club Hearts may favour a move to Dutch club FC Twente.

Chelsea

Inter Milan striker Zlaten Ibrahimovic has stated that Chelsea want to sign him this summer, and are willing to pay up to £60m to secure his services. Meanwhile John Terry will carry on discussing his future at Stamford Bridge amid continued interest from Manchester City for his signature.

Everton

The Toffees have joined the race to sign Tuncay from recently-relegated Middlesbrough. The Turkish striker is a wanted man this summer, with Aston Villa, Liverpool and Sunderland also in the chase for his services. Meanwhile, Joleon Lescott is the subject of renewed interest from Manchester City, who are thought to be preparing an improved £20m bid for the England defender.

Fulham

Brede Hangeland will still be at Fulham when the season kicks off in August according to Cottagers boss Roy Hodgson. The centre-back impressed last term and has been linked with Aston Villa after rejecting a new contract, but Hodgson believes his star defender will be in the white of Fulham this season.

Hull

Yet another striker has been linked with a move to Hull as Phil Brown desperately tries to bolster his attacking options ahead of the new season. A bid for West Ham's Bobby Zamora was confirmed on Friday and Hull have now made an enquiry about Cardiff front-man Ross McCormack. Reports suggest the Tigers could also bag Joe Ledley in a £10m double swoop.

Liverpool

Liverpool look set to hold onto Xabi Alonso with Real Madrid reportedly ready to admit defeat in their quest to secure the Spanish international. Meanwhile, despite speculation last week, Rafael Benitez appears to have ruled out a move for Franck Ribery and has suggested there will be no big-money signings coming into Anfield this summer.

Manchester City

Manchester City have officially ended their chase for Barcelona front-man Samuel Eto'o after their deadline passed without word from the Cameroonian international. Boss Mark Hughes will now switch his attentions to Carlos Tevez, who rejected a five-year contract from Manchester United earlier this month. City hope to have the deal for the Argentinean finalised by the middle of this week.

Manchester United

Manchester United are getting closer to signing Brazilian starlet Douglas Costa. The champions were linked with a move for the 18-year-old talent earlier in the summer, but were unwilling to met Gremio's £20m asking price. Reports also suggest United will move for Ashley Young if Aston Villa sign Stewart Downing. Meanwhile Federico Macheda was robbed in his home by masked raiders yesterday.

Portsmouth

Portsmouth are chasing Spurs full-back Pascal Chimbonda to fill the gap left by Glen Johnson's departure to Liverpool. The South Coast club are also closing in on appointing a new manager, with Roberto Mancini still heading the shortlist.

Stoke

It was a disappointing weekend for Stoke on the pitch and in the transfer market. The Potters lost friendlies against minnows Newcastle Town and Nantwich Town and reportedly had a contract offer rejected by Manchester City defender Richard Dunne. Stoke are also set to battle Ipswich for the signature of Sunderland midfielder Dean Whitehead.

Sunderland

Sunderland are due to table a bid for Inter Milan midfielder Patrick Viera The ex-Arsenal man, who has been the subject of Premier League interest this summer, would be keen on a move back to the England after falling down the pecking order at the Italian giants. Sunderland boss Steve Bruce would also like to bring his ex-Wigan charge Lee Cattermole to the Stadium of Light and is preparing a £6m bid.

Tottenham

Tottenham have bid a reported £17m for Roma striker Mirko Vucinic. The Montenegro star is highly rated across Europe and was earlier linked with a Manchester United move. Spurs are among the teams monitoring Stewart Downing's possible transfer to Aston Villa with the intention of signing Ashley Young, and could be about to offload Pascal Chimbonda to Portsmouth.

West Ham

West Ham are looking to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season. Speaking after his side's 2-1 friendly win against Grays Athletic, Hammers boss Gianfranco Zola said that he knew where the side's weaknesses lie and that bringing in a striker was his priority. They have been linked with the in-demand Barcelona forward Eidur Gudjohnsen.

Wigan

Jason Scotland is close to securing a move from Swansea to Wigan this week and will link up with former boss Roberto Martinez. Meanwhile Wigan have rejected a reported £4m bid from Steve Bruce at Sunderland. The former Wigan manager is set to increase that bid to £6m early this week.

Wolves

Wolves are ready to do battle with Bolton to sign Aston Villa's central defender Zat Knight, with the former Fulham man available for around £3m. Mick McCarthy confirmed that Chris Iwelumo has broken a metatarsal and will be out of action until the end of August due to the injury he picked in their first pre-season game against Perth Glory on Saturday. Meanwhile midfielder Darren Potter has left Molineux to join Sheffield Wednesday for an undisclosed fee.

we'll be having a wedge of that £80m I think... Do we know when the site will be "proper" ready to enter auction details, pay for teams etc?

Apparantly not, Ferguson has said no more signings this summer. Last I heard on live site they were saying middle of next week.

Cheers. Bit of a shame about Young... doesn't Ferguson know that there's clubs surviving on sell-on deals? Bit inconsiderate if you ask me... he could have at least pretended to stay in the running to encourage Spurs to put in a silly offer...

Not happening son, keep dreaming! Unless of course you're willing to through your £80m at us, in which case we may begin to consider.

    MU wings

Valencia on one wing and A Young on the other. Like the sound of that.
