Chelsea v West Ham

Chelsea finally seem to be hitting top gear after a stuttering Premier League campaign, so Carlo Ancelotti will again be tempted to name an unchanged attacking line-up to the one that beat both West Brom and Birmingham in the past week. If so, Fernando Torres will again need to be content with a spot on the bench but is likely to get involved at some point. In defence, Branislav Ivanovic could be named at right-back as long as he has recovered from a bout of muscle fatigue, with Jose Bosingwa and Paulo Ferreira both alternative options for that oft-rotated position.

Influential midfielder Scott Parker could miss out on a return to his former club Chelsea because of an Achilles problem. The England international sat out last week's defeat to Aston Villa and could also be absent when West Ham take on Manchester City next Sunday. There were positives and negatives in a West Ham reserve game during the week. Jack Collison playing 90 minutes following a lengthy injury absence was certainly a plus, but an injury for Kieron Dyer after just 20 minutes means he may not play for the club again.

  • Doubtful: Stanislas
