Wigan have midfielder Jordi Gomez available for selection, after the suspension for his red card against Sunderland last weekend was overturned on appeal. Elsewhere, Antolin Alcaraz remains sidelined with his ongoing groin problem and midfielder Fraser Fyvie is a doubt with a ankle injury. Franco Di Santo was on the bench last weekend, but wasn't 100% fit. He is pushing for a starting berth this weekend.

Tony Hibbert and Darron Gibson will once again miss out when Everton travel to Wigan on Saturday afternoon. Both players are close to a return from their respective calf and thigh injuries, but will not be included in the squad this time out due to a lack of match fitness and the opportunity for an extended rehabilitation period during the upcoming international break. Steven Naismith missed out last week with a calf strain and it is likely that the most he could hope for in this match is a spot on the bench.
