Competitions and Leagues
Fantasy League Classic offers the widest array of competitions and £100,000 in prizes to play for. There's plenty to play for throughout the season, with weekly and monthly cash prizes in addition to the season-long competitions. So even if your initial signings fail to deliver, there is always the opportunity to turn your team around and compete for the wide array of prizes on offer!
Overall Season competition
This is the big one! Teams score points throughout the season, with the managers of the top 20 teams winning prizes at the end of the year.
The manager at the top of the table at the end of the season wins £10,000 in cash and a trip to watch the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. The manager of the second place team will pocket £2,000 and third place will win £500. The managers finishing 4th-10th win £200, while 11th-20th place win £50 each.
Friends & Enemies Leagues
Friends and Enemies leagues allow you to compete against your friends, colleagues or enemies in your own private league.
For leagues with eight or more teams signed up at the start of the season, the winner of each league, in addition to obtaining those all-important bragging rights, will have their managerial abilities rewarded with a Fantasy League Gold Medal. A runners-up Fantasy League Silver Medal is also awarded. And for those leagues which have ten or more teams signed up before the start of the season, a full set of four Fantasy League Medals will be given out to the top four managers.
Friends & Enemies Round Robin
Get 10 or more teams in your Friends & Enemies League and you'll qualify for our "Round Robin" competition. From the beginning of October your team will go head to head with another team in your league every week in a match-up that is determined by the weekly total of Fantasy League points gained. Just like the real-life Premier League, teams gain three points for a win and one point for a draw. The manager with the most Round Robin points in each league at the end of the season will be awarded with an exclusive gold medal.
Premier Leagues
Every entrant is randomly placed in a “Premier League" of 20 managers, who from October onwards will compete in a series of 19 head-to-head fixtures. Each week, your team will be pitted against another team in your league, with the match result determined by weekly Fantasy League points.
Just like the real-life Premier League, teams gain three points for a win and one point for a draw.
At the end of the Premier League campaign, the winning team in each league will enter the Fantasy League Classic Champions League and compete for major prizes. The second place team in each league will enter the Fantasy League Classic Europa League.
Champions League
Teams that win their Premier League gain entry into the Champions League. From March onwards, a series of weekly knock-out rounds will whittle the number of competing teams down until only 16 teams remain. Those 16 teams will be entered into a final sprint leaderboard over the final weeks of the season.
The winner of the Champions League sprint will win £5,000 in cash and a trip to the UEFA Champions League final. The second-place manager will win a trip to the Champions League final, while third and fourth place will pocket £250 in cash. The teams finishing in fifth to eight place will win £100 each, while the remaining eight teams in the last sixteen will gain £50 apiece.
Europa League
Teams that finish second in their Premier League gain entry into the Europa League. From March onwards, a series of weekly knock-out rounds will whittle the number of competing teams down until only 16 teams remain. Those 16 teams will be entered into a final sprint leaderboard over the final weeks of the season.
The winner of the Europa League sprint will win £2,500 in cash and a trip to the UEFA Europa League final. The second-place manager will win a trip to the Europa League final, while third and fourth place will pocket £100 in cash. The teams finishing in fifth to eight place will win £50 each, while the remaining eight teams in the last sixteen will gain £25 apiece.
