Transfer Targets- Quarter-Final 2

22nd June 2012By: Fantasy League

We take a look at the players you should consider for your team

Defender - Mats Hummels (Germany)

The young Mats Hummels (£9.5m on Fantasy League Classic) has impressed for the Germans at the back.

He's scored three fantasy football points already thanks to a clean sheet against Portugal and you can expect that to triple tonight against a Greek team lacking in attacking threats.

Defender – Philipp Lahm (Germany)

Again, a German clean sheet would see six Fantasy League points making their way to Philipp Lahm (£10.5m).

However, it’s Lahm's offensive qualities that make him so attractive from a fantasy football perspective.

He’s guaranteed to get forward against the Greeks, deliver crosses from all angles and look for his first assist of the tournament.

Midfielder - Sotiris Ninis (Greece)

Viewed by many as Greece’s most talented attacking player, Sotiris Ninis (£7.5m) is yet to make a real impact at the Euros.

However, with Giorgios Karagounis missing through suspension, there'll be a re-shuffle in the midfield.

The Greeks have nothing to lose and the skilful Ninis might just take centre-stage.

Midfielder - Bastian Schweinsteiger (Germany)

Bastian Schweinsteiger (£10.5m) has been pulling the strings for the Germans so far, notching up four fantasy football points for his two assists.

Expect more of the same against a Greek midfield missing its captain and enforcer Karagounis.

Forward – Thomas Muller (Germany)

Thomas Muller hasn't made as defining an impact for the Germans as he did during the last World Cup.

Indeed, the limelight so far has been almost entirely on Mario Gomez.

However, Muller is less expensive than his compatriot at £13m and is sure to get in on the act at some point.

Expect his speed to cause the Greeks plenty of problems this evening.
