Introduction
Welcome to Fantasy League Classic Euro 2012!
This year's summer of classic sport kicks off in early June with Fantasy League Classic Euro 2012, following the top European national sides in their bid for glory in Poland and Ukraine.
Fantasy League Classic Euro 2012 allows you to act as an international manager, selecting your squad of stars from all 16 competing nations.
Your players will score points for your team throughout the Group Stage and Knock Out Stage, in a bid to propel your squad to the top of the international leaderboard.
Compete against managers from far and wide, and also set up your own league for direct competition against your Friends & Enemies.
The Prize Leagues, which culminate in a sprint through the Knock Out Stage, also return after their popularity in the Fantasy League World Cup game two years ago.
Select your squad of 15 players. Watch as they score points for goals, clean sheets and assists. Make substitutions to show off your tactical acumen, and if everything seems to be going wrong, make those all-important transfers to get your team back on the right track.
Key Team Selection Rules and Game Phases
You have a budget of £150m which you must use to select a squad of 15 players
Your "starting line up" must consist of 11 players, in one of the three valid Fantasy League international formations, being 4-4-2, 4-3-3 and 5-3-2.
You can make changes (transfers and substitutions) to your starting line up until the scheduled kick-off of each match, with the 11 players in your starting line up at the kick off of each match being eligible to score points for your team during that match.
To keep the rivalry and drama going throughout the tournament, and to give you more chances to win, we’ve split the game into five Game Phases.
You can make up to five transfers in a Game Phase, up to a tournament total of 15 transfers for your team.
The number of players per country available to pick for your team ("country quota" in the table below) starts off at two and increases to four in the Knock Out stage.
The Game Phase dates are as follows:
