Competitions and Leagues

Fantasy League Classic Euro 2012 offers a wide array of competitions and £10,000 in prizes to play for.

Prizes are available to the top ten in the overall standings, prizes for the best performing teams in the Group Stage and Knock Out stage and also individual Game Phase prizes, there's plenty to play for within the main competition.

We also introduce our unique Prize League competition. Compete against your fellow managers in leagues of 10 teams throughout the Group Stage. When the group stage matches are complete, your position in the Prize League will determine which tiered knockout-stage sprint your team enters, to compete for prizes in an exciting finale throughout the sharp end of the tournament.

So in summary, even if your initial call-ups fail to deliver, there is always the opportunity to turn your team around and compete for the wide range of prizes on offer!

Overall Season competition

This is the main event! Teams score points from the first match on Friday 8th June onwards, all the way through to the final on Sunday 1st July. See the experts emerge at the top of the table, and finish in the Top Ten to win a prize!

The manager at the top of the table at the end of the tournament wins £5,000 in cash, and there are second place and third place prizes too, so competition will be intense in the final stretch.

Prize Leagues

Every entrant is randomly placed in a Prize League of 10 managers, who are pitted together in a unique competition across the Group Stage of the competition.

During this initial stage of the Prize League competition, each team accumulates points based on the standard Fantasy League Classic Euro 2012 scoring system.

After the final Group Stage match has been completed, the two teams with the most points in each Prize League will be entered into Tier One of the Knock Out Stage Sprint.

The third and fourth-placed teams in each Prize League will be entered into Tier Two of the Knock Out Stage Sprint.

The remaining six teams in each Prize League will be entered into Tier Three of the Knock Out Stage Sprint.

Each Knock Out Stage Sprint takes place over the entire Knock Out Stage of the competition.

Each team will then score points in the new Knock Out Stage Sprint section of the competition and the winners of each sprint get great prizes.

The winner of the Tier One sprint gains £500.

The winner of the Tier Two sprint gains £300.

And we should not forget the winners of the Tier Three sprint, who will obtain £150 for their efforts.

Friends & Enemies Leagues

Friends and Enemies leagues allow you to compete against your friends, colleagues or even your mortal enemies in your very own private league.

Create a league, or sign-up to an existing league, and your team will be entered into the league table, in direct competition with other teams in the league.

The league will also have it's own messageboard, allowing you a great opportunity to discuss tactics, exchange banter, and generally revel in your superior fantasy football ability when you lead your team to the top of the table.

Friends & Enemies League Championship

All Friends and Enemies Leagues of five managers or more are entered into the Friends and Enemies League Championship. An average score for the top five performing teams in each league is generated, which is used to populate the Friends and Enemies League Championship leaderboard.

The chairmen of the top five performing leagues will each receive a FREE interactive package for Fantasy League Professional 2012/13, worth up to £544 each - enabling a full season of Premier League action, with a pre-season auction, for up to 16 users - playing fantasy football the way it was designed to be played!

Leagues become eligible for the Friends & Enemies League Championship as long as they contain five or more teams as at 00:00 BST on Monday 11th June, so get recruiting your league members now!

Please note that prize packages are awarded to the chairmen of each of the top five performing leagues (i.e. the user who originally set up the league. Chairman can allocate places in the league as they see fit.

Game Phases

To keep the rivalry and drama going throughout the tournament, and to give you more chances to win, we’ve split the game into five Game Phases.

You can make up to five transfers in a Game Period (as long as you have some transfers left out of your tournament total of 15) and the number of players per country available to pick for your team (Country Quota in the table below) starts off at two and increases to four in the Knock Out stage.

The winners of each Game Phase leaderboard take home a cool £200 each.
