The best performing players from Game Phase Four

Composed midfielder Xabi Alonso was the top points scoring player in the quarter-finals with a magnificent 12 points.

The Real Madrid pass-master bagged both goals in Spain's 2-0 win over France, while dynamic full-back Jordi Alba registered 10 points.

Alba set up Alonso's opener and played his part in Spain's third clean sheet of the tournament.

Miroslav Klose was a surprise selection up front for Germany against Greece, but he didn't disappoint and scored 10 points for a goal and an assist.

The experienced poacher headed in the third goal of a thrilling 4-2 win and was awarded an assist when Marco Reus smashed home a comprehensive fourth.

Graceful midfielder Mesut Ozil recorded two assists and eight points.

Portugal got the better of the Czech Republic by a single Cristiano Ronaldo goal to nil.

Ronaldo was in scintillating form against the Czechs as he mounted a personal mission to get Portugal into the semi-finals.

He had eight shots on goal, hitting the woodwork twice, before eventually breaking the deadlock with a dramatic late diving header, worth six points.

And finally, there were clean sheets all round as England crashed out of the tournament at the hands of Italy following a penalty shootout.

The two nations couldn't be separated after 120 minutes and played out the first 0-0 draw of Euro 2012.

Joe Hart, Gianluigi Buffon and their faithful defenders all scored six points for the clean sheets.
