Transfer Targets- Quarter-Final 3

22nd June 2012By: Fantasy League

We take a look at the players you should consider for your team

Goalkeeper - Iker Casillas (Spain)

Iker Casillas was superb against Croatia, pulling off one particularly spectacular save that helped his side finish top of Group C.

The French have proved to be hit and miss upfront, while Sergio Ramos and Gerard Pique have impressed at the back for La Roja.

At £9.5m in Fantasy League Classic, Casillas is therefore a good bet to add another six points to his fantasy football tally tonight.

Defender - Jordi Alba (Spain)

Jordi Alba proved in the group stage that he's one of the best young defenders around, looking poised and dangerous in equal measures.

The Valencia full-back is solid at the back and a threat going forward so, for £10m, could be a very attractive fantasy football asset.

Midfielder - Franck Ribery (France)

If there's a weakness in the Spanish defence, it's the inability to deal with quick counter attacks.

Franck Ribery is always one of France's most potent attacking threats and will be keen to run at a fairly shaky Alvaro Arbeloa.

If France are going to triumph, the £12.5m midfielder will have to make a significant contribution.

Midfielder - Andres Iniesta (Spain)

Spain have decided to go without an out-and-out striker in two of their three games, leaving Andres Iniesta to operate in a dangerous area high up the field.

He's been Spain's best player so far along with Cesc Fabregas and will be relishing the chance to pick apart a French defence that struggled so badly against the Swedes.

His £13m price tag is worth every penny if you believe the bookies' expectations that Spain will go all the way.

Midfielder - Cesc Fabregas (France)

Despite Fernando Torres' two goals against the Republic of Ireland, the physical prospect of France's Laurent Koscielny and Adil Rami will most likely put manager Vicente del Bosque off starting El Nino.

That means that Cesc Fabregas will probably be Spain's most attacking player.

The Barcelona man is in great form and will look to link up with the likes of Iniesta and Xavi to improve on the six fantasy football points he's already scored.
