Powerful South African Aaron Mokoena joins Portsmouth on a free transfer

Portsmouth have snapped up 28-year-old midfielder Aaron Mokoena from Blackburn on a three-year deal.

The South African will make the switch in July once his contract at Ewood Park is up.

Mokoena, who has featured 81 times for his country, played just ten games for Rovers last season and will enforce the midfield at Fratton Park.

Formerly on the Player List as a centre-back he has been used in a more advanced role in recent seasons where he has picked up just two assists.
