Confident Germans are one of the pre-tournament favourites

Germany are going to win Euro 2012. Well that's certainly what their players think, especially new Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski who said it was their turn.

However, he may have a point because this German team are very, very good.

Joachim Low's finely tuned attacking unit is even better than when it swept to the semi-final of the World Cup two-years-ago.

The three-time winners strolled through qualifying, winning 10 out of 10, and have so much strength in depth that future stars Mario Gotze and Toni Kroos may only make the bench.

Star Man - Mesut Ozil

Many big name players struggle to replicate their club form at international level, but for Mesut Ozil it's probably the other way around.

For Germany the graceful playmaker is the main-man and the team is set up to get the best out of his unquestionable talents.

At Real Madrid meanwhile, a certain Cristiano Ronaldo is the focus of attention.

The 23-year-old carved through opposition defences in South Africa, collecting three assists, and scored five times during qualifying.

One to Watch - Mats Hummels

Look out for composed defender Mats Hummels this summer, plenty of Europe's top clubs will be.

The Borussia Dortmund centre-back has just won his second successive title in the Bundesliga and his stylish displays have reportedly caught the attention of Real Madrid and Manchester United.

The 6"3' 23-year-old has locked down the problem central defensive berth alongside Holger Badstuber and has collected 13 caps since making his debut in 2010.
