Clean sheet points all round as England crash out on penalties

It was a night for defenders as England and Italy played out the first 0-0 draw of Euro 2012 in the last of the four quarter-finals.

Italy went on to win the game 4-2 on penalties, but by then all Fantasy League clean sheet points were securely locked up and safe.

England's back-line of Joe Hart, Glen Johnson, John Terry, Joleon Lescott and Ashley Cole all worked extremely hard for their six points.

Italy quartet Gianluigi Buffon, Federico Balzaretti, Andrea Barzagli and Leonardo Bonucci didn't have to graft quite as much, but were still rewarded with the same total.

Playmaker Andrea Pirlo bossed the game from the centre of midfield, but could not find that elusive goal or assist to win the game.

Cole and Ashley Young missed spot kicks for England, all after Riccardo Montolivo had opened the door by firing Italy's second penalty wide.

Italy will now take on the might of Germany, in Warsaw, on Wednesday.
