Help bereaved Hillsborough families
Fantasy League manager Andy Farrell has alerted us to a worthy cause for which we hope fellow managers can help.
Bereaved relatives of the 1989 Hillsborough disaster have been forced to pay £28,000 in legal costs to the former South Yorkshire police chief constable David Crompton.
If the tragedy of losing a loved one wasn’t enough, these families now need the support from as many people as possible to help take this financial burden away.
If you think you can help – Fantasy League suggest a donation of a pound a point from the matches over the weekend of 1/2 April – then please visit the JustGiving page at the following address to donate:
In the event that the fundraising exceeds the amount of money required, the remaining amount will be donated to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, as per the families’ wishes.
Anyone who does pledge can email auctionsupp[email protected] or [email protected] (depending on which game you are playing) with a link to your team screen and donation amount so that we can put your team up in lights!
Thanks for your generosity…and good luck!
